In honor of Earth Day, of few of our friends and I attended a Dave Barnes concert in Akron , which was free (thank you to the radio station, The Summit 93.1). I know that I don't need to say it, but I will anyways, Dave was stellar. Afterwards, in honor of Arbor Day we planted a few trees. I decided that I really like dirt, plants, and stuff like that.Tuesday, April 29, 2008

Take A Hike! Okay.

I can now tell my grandchildren that I have been to the Allegheny National Forest. This past weekend I (along with the rest of the class) went backpacking in northern PA. Wildlife spottings included a loon, a raccoon, and a group of ten college males throwing rocks into a frozen reservoir, oh. I just love being outside. There is such incredible beauty in God's creation.
I also want to take a minute to thank the entire Ledebur family for allowing a group of unshowered (multi-day) wilderness folk to come into their house to enjoy an extravagant meal. Gracias.
